thanks Grace! the bit at the bottom is muslin - its actually a piece of muslin that i nuno felted in the middle (thats what the whiteish piece is that is a background for the three green squares and the triangle) so its a continuous piece of muslin from the bottom of the checkers through the inside of the felt and out to the bottom. Oh and if you want a larger view (dont know why it wont let you see it) you can see some larger images on my flickr page. Link is to the right of the blog. @Jude: you are so right; i think this one might grow even more - probably upwards
